2020 Dodge Durango Interior Capacity

The Durango lineup has been in the market for quite some time, starting back in 1998. Now, Dodge is planning to release the New 2020 Dodge Durango.

What kind of changes will we see? How will the upcoming Durango perform? If you want to know the answers, just read on. Below, we have information regarding the redesign, performance, release date, and price of the New Dodge Durango.

2020 Dodge Durango Redesign & Changes

First, about the redesign. As a car meant for 2020, the 2020 Dodge Durango will likely come some changes here and there, including its exterior and interior. While there will be changes, the Dodge Durango’s overall theme, which is aggressive and muscular styling, will not be removed. We expect it will only be emphasized further.

A total overhaul is for the 2020 Dodge Durango will not be surprising. In fact, it is quite possible, considering that Chrysler is planning to revive its SUV as well as hybrid lineups. The Durango lineup is popular in North America, so improvements here will increase the sales number.

If a total overhaul does happen, we expect the 2020 model will still be recognized as one of the Durango lineup members. There should be sharp lines, streamlined shape, and cutting-edge look fitting for a next-generation car. Yet, the emphasis will be on its aggressive and muscular look.

The same should apply to the inside as well. The inside will provide a comfortable ride for all passengers, with premium materials and up-to-date technology and features. We expect the Upcoming Dodge Durango to have lots of the latest technology and features, as it must keep up with its competitions.

Exterior Updates

According to the latest reports, the 2020 Dodge Durango will ride on a new platform. This platform is unique. In many cases, a platform will change the dimensions of the car. The upcoming Durango’s platform, on the other hand, will not change its dimensions. While the dimensions will not change the dimensions, it will reduce the overall weight of the car. This means both fuel efficiency and handling will be improved.

Alright, so the platform is changed. Will it change the overall look? It seems so. As we mentioned earlier, the Durango’s aggressive and muscular styling will be carried on the 2020 model. However, it will be emphasized. Although it is not yet clear, the headlamps, grille, and bumper are likely to be adjusted and/or improved to accommodate the new platform. The rear fascia should also feature a new bumper and taillights.

Interior Changes

As for the interior, the 2020 Durango is similar with its predecessor in terms of seating configuration. Two-row seating is the standard for all trims, while three-row seating is optional. For most trims, you can choose between the bench and captain chairs. We expect the 2020 Dodge Durango to provide comfortable seating for the first and second-row passengers in comfort levels. Onn the other hand, the third can be a bit tight to sit, especially if it is a long ride. If the third-row seating is not occupied, you can fold it down and free up to 85 cubic feet you can use as additional storage.

In terms of equipment, the equipment provided will be different from one trim to another. Of course, the higher the trim, the better equipped the car is. The only things that all trims share are a touchscreen 7.0-inch display with an infotainment system, keyless ignition, adjustable front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, and tri-zone climate control.

In addition to the above equipment, the GT trim will come with a firmer suspension, synthetic and leather upholstery, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, special steering tuning, and rear parking sensors.

The R/T trim will come with all the equipment above plus cooled front seats, upgraded leather holster, and Beats’ audio system.

The Citadel trim will come with the equipment above, with a softer suspension, more chrome accents, and an Alpine audio system with 9 speakers.

Lastly, the highest trim is the SRT. This trim will have the equipment above and include track-oriented suspension, upgraded brakes, and unique styling. For this trim, an 8.4-inch display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will be available. Unfortunately, it is optional and not standard.

Engine Specs, Performance & Gas Mileage

The 2020 Dodge Durango will have three engine options depending on the trim. All of the engines will be paired with an eight-speed auto transmission gearbox.

The standard engine is a 3.6L V6 engine capable of generating up to 293 horsepower with up to 260 lb-ft of torque. Both all-wheel-drive (AWD) and rear-wheel-drive (RWD) systems will be available with this engine. The fuel economy (city/highway) of this engine is estimated to be 18/25 mpg for the AWD model and 19/26 mpg for the RWD model.

The second engine option is a 5.7L HEMI V8 engine. This engine can generate even more power than the standard one. It can generate up to 360 horsepower with up to 390 lb-ft of torque. The fuel economy is estimated to be 14/22 mpg.

The third engine is only available for the SRT trim. It is a 6.4L V8 engine capable of generating as high as 475 horsepower with up to 470 lb-ft of torque. The AWD system will be standard with the SRT trim. The fuel economy is estimated to be 13/19 mpg.
