2021 Nissan NV3500 Passenger VAN: Redesign, Specs, Price

The Nissan NV Passenger is Nissan’s attempt to gain market share in the full-size van market. So far, the lineup has been doing well. It is quite a feat considering Nissan is competing against GM and Ford. If anything, this speaks of the quality of Nissan NV Passenger.

2020 Nissan NV3500 Passenger VAN Price

So far, the lineup has been able to provide a comfortable ride for many passengers. It can accommodate a daylong trip with ease. Not only that, there is enough space for both passengers and other stuff. The previous model can accommodate up to 12 passengers, and there is still enough large cargo space to store stuff. Soon enough, we will see a new iteration of the lineup: the New Nissan NV Passenger.

New Nissan NV Passenger Redesign

Considering that NV Passenger emphasizes functions more than form, we don’t expect the 2021 Nissan NV3500 Passenger VAN to get a major redesign. That said, there should be changes in its exterior and interior. If the new model does receive changes, we expect the changes to be neither drastic nor change the lineup’s overall look. Rather, it will make the upcoming Nissan NV Passenger be a modern, full-size van fitting for today.

Exterior

As usual, the exterior of the 2021 Nissan NV Passenger will emphasize functions over form. The upcoming full-size van should continue the lineup’s slab-sided nature and large size. Thanks to their large size, Nissan NV Passengers can hold a lot of passengers and staff. Of course, in this case, the New NV Passenger should not be different from its predecessors.

We expect the 2021 NV Passenger to have a boxy look, just like the previous models. The NV Passenger may not look as good as other vans, but it has a decent look for a full-sized van. This is not surprising because the lineup is designed to be functional, not stylish.

2021 Nissan NV3500 Passenger VAN Interior – Up to 12 Passenger

The 2021 Nissan NV Passenger interior should be highly functional, just like the previous models’. You can find some small nooks and crannies here and there that you can use to store your stuff in the previous models. This should not be different for the upcoming NV Passenger. Since the interior is very utilitarian, we don’t expect the upcoming NV Passenger to get more than minimal luxury touches.

We all know that the NV Passenger is quite large, as it can accommodate up to 12 passengers comfortably. As such, we expect the upcoming NV Passenger to have at least 28.9 cubic feet of cargo space with the seat unfolded. With the seat folded, it should reach over 218 cubic feet of cargo space.

Although the design of NV Passenger is utilitarian in general, Nissan does not neglect the comfort part. The previous NV Passenger has been able to provide a comfortable ride for every passenger. Yes, even on a daylong road trip. The seats are decent, and there is enough legroom for the first seating row. The New Nissan NV Passenger should be able to provide the same level of comfort.

2020 Nissan NV3500 Passenger VAN Capacity

New Nissan NV3500 Passenger Van Specs

Just like the previous model, the 2021 Nissan NV Passenger should have two engine options. We expect it to carry over the engines that the previous models use. First, a 4.0L V6 engine capable of generating up to 261 horsepower with up to 281 lb-ft of torque. And second, a 5.6L V8 engine capable of generating up to 375 horsepower with up to 387 lb-ft of torque.

The V6 engine is mated with a five-speed auto transmission gearbox in the previous model while the V8 engine is mated with a seven-speed transmission gearbox. Both engines will use the rear-wheel-drive system.

Of course, since the outputs of the two engines are different, so are their towing capacities. If the upcoming NV Passenger does come with the above engines, it should have up to 6,200 pounds of towing capacity for the V6 engine and up to 8,700 pounds for the V8 engine.

Features

The 2021 Nissan NV3500 Passenger VAN should come with lots of standard features. For example, 17-inch steel wheels, a 5.0-inch touchscreen display, a tilt steering wheel, remote keyless entry, front and side airbags, electrical upfit with pre-wiring, air conditioning, power door locks, power windows, cruise control, rear cooling, and heating vents, three bottle holders, eight cup holders, Bluetooth connectivity, and a four-speaker audio system.

Of course, just like any iteration, there will be various optional features available as well. The following features should be available for the 2021 NV Passenger: dual-zone air conditioning, navigation, a defroster for the rear window, heated front seats, and leather upholstery. Like the previous models, the additional features will be available either in the higher trim levels or additional packages.

The features, both the standard and optional, should be updated for the upcoming NV Passenger. It is, after all, meant to be a full-size van. It only fits for the upcoming van to get up-to-date features.

2021 Nissan NV3500 Passenger VAN Release Date and Price

The release date has yet to be disclosed by Nissan. While we don’t know the exact date of the upcoming NV Passenger to hit the market, we can expect it to be released in the second half of this year. Release in early 2020 is possible but seeing how Nissan releases the NV Passenger thus far; it is highly unlikely to happen.

The 2021 Nissan NV3500 Passenger VAN price has yet to be disclosed as well. This time, however, we can guesstimate it using the starting price of the current model. The current model starting price is around $35,660. Assuming that the changes are minimal for the 2021 NV Passenger, we can safely say that the starting price will be in the same range with a slight increase.
