2020 Peugeot 3008 Design

Design-wise, the new Peugeot 3008 looks exciting outside and inside. On the outside, the family SUV looks sleek and sporty. With unique fascia and grilles upfront, the Peugeot 3008 surely looks imposing. Add that with defined and smooth lines and curves everywhere, the SUV looks so stylish. Now it truly looks like a crossover SUV.

Also important to mention is its proportion. Compared to its immediate predecessor, the new Peugeot 3008 has a longer proportion as it rides on a new platform. Now, the SUV has a longer, stronger, and lighter wheelbase.

Inside, the interior is well-made and well-designed. It is made of good quality materials. The cargo space is decent but is not exceptional. The seating has a unique shape, providing a comfortable ride for everyone.

The main attraction of the interior is the dashboard and control layout. They have such unique yet tasteful shapes.  There are two screens on the dashboard. One screen is for driver’s instruments while the other is for navigation and infotainment.  The logical and smooth operation of these screens makes the dashboard very practical.

Although meant to be a family SUV, the Peugeot 3008’s interior does have the upmarket feel. And in terms of upmarket feel, not many can match, let alone beat, the upmarket feel that the Peugeot 3008 has.

Almost every inch of the surface is soft to touch. Those surfaces that are not, are hidden, and mostly untouched. The French automaker introduces a unique blend between materials, which enhance the ambient feel of the SUV even further. During the day, the ambiance might not be too noticeable. At night, however, it is quite obvious as the interior is bathed by the SUV’s all-round ambient lighting.

2020 Peugeot 3008 Performance

In total, there are four engine options available for the 2020 Peugeot 3008. The base engine is a 1.2-liter PureTech 130 petrol engine with an output of 128 horsepower. There other three are more powerful than the base: a 1.6-liter PureTech 180 petrol engine with an output of 179 horsepower, and two diesel engines, a 1.5-liter BlueHDi 130 with 129 horsepower and 2.0-liter BlueHDi 180 with 178 horsepower.

For the transmission, the PureTech 130 engine is available in either manual or automatic transmission, both have six speeds. The PureTech 180 engine is automatic only while the diesel engines are available in both manual and automatic.

For an SUV, these engines might seem small for some. But, as small as they might seem, they certainly pack punches especially the PureTech 180 and the BlueHDi 180.  Even the base PureTech 130 and BlueHDi 130 are more than capable of handling daily tasks as a family SUV.

The steering is nice and the ride is comfortable. It grips well and the handling is very adequate. Combined with decent engine options, all these features make the new Peugeot 3008 a very good family SUV.

Features

There are many features available for the Peugeot 3008. For example, an 8.0-inch touchscreen display, a digital instrument display, Bluetooth, DAB radio, a blind-spot warning system, a reversing camera, rear parking sensors (both front and rear), rain-sensing wipers, Mirrorlink, Android Auto, AppleCarPlay, and satellite navigation, among others.

2020 Peugeot 3008 Pricing

The price range of the new Peugeot 3008 is between $33,000 and $60,000. With $33,000, buyers can get the base model with standard features. Since the base Peugeot 3008 has a lot of features to offer, even the base model is worth the money.

The feature-laden top model costs around $60,000. Of course, the top model comes with a lot more features than the base, has better quality materials, better performance, and various other upgrades both outside and inside.

That’s our review of 2020 Peugeot 3008. The new Peugeot 3008 has a striking look outside and inside, good performance, and lots of features. Even the base model is a capable, reliable, and comfortable SUV for the family to ride in. It is certainly a solid option for a family SUV for 2020.
