here is The New Updates of 2020 Honda Civic. The Civic lineup has been in the market for so many years. It is not something surprising, though. After all, in each iteration of the lineup, it succeeded in providing comfort and reliability. Soon, we are going to see the New Honda Civic. The question is, how will it look like? Well, if you want to know the answer, read on. Below, we will tell you about possible redesigns, both in its exterior and interior, engine, safety, release date, and price.
2020 Honda Civic Redesign & Changes
There will be redesigns. However, the redesigns are unlikely to change the overall look of the upcoming Civic. Instead, the redesigns will be meant to refresh and updates what the Civic already has. Let us explain the reason. The Civic lineup has got its full redesign back in 2016. As it happened not long ago, a significant redesign is unlikely to happen. So don’t expect significant changes to happen for the 2020 Civic.
Also, we don’t think a significant redesign is needed for the 2020 Civic. The current Civic looks modern and stylish already. There is no need to change it. Well, at least not at the moment. That being said, some changes and updates here and there should happen.
Exterior updates
For the exterior, the current Civic looks great. It can be considered as one of the most modern-looking in its segment. We expect the upcoming Civic to continue the same look albeit there should be some updates here and there.
The changes for the exterior are very unlikely to change the main theme of the 2020 Civic. If there are any changes, we expect them to be some sort of refinement. That is, to give the 2020 Civic even more stylish and modern-looking. It is common for new cars to get sharper lines. We think the honda civic new model 2020 will get them.
Just like its predecessors, the 2020 Civic will be available in several trim levels. Each trim will come with different features than the others. Of course, the higher the trim level is, the more features will be included.
Interior Updates
As you can expect from the Civic lineup, the inside of the 2020 Civic is going to be roomy, stylish, and set up nicely. The current Civic has a good interior. At the moment, big changes will only be counterproductive rather than improvement.
As good as it is, the Civic lineup is not perfect. A common problem in the lineup is its touchscreen display. Using the infotainment system can be frustrating due to its annoying menu and slow inputs. For the 2020 Civic, we hope Honda fixes this issue.
2020 Honda Civic Engine Specs
The engine options for the 2020 Civic are most likely to be the same as the previous models. The base engine is a 2.0L inline-four engine with an output of 158 horsepower. On the other hand, the optional engines are a 1.5L engine with an output of 174 horsepower, a 1.5L engine with 205 horsepower and a 2.0L turbo-four engine with an output of 306 horsepower. These engines are paired with either a CVT or a six-speed manual gearbox.
So far, a hybrid engine is a possibility. The Civic Hybrid had been released back then. It will not be surprising if the 2020 mode gets a hybrid engine as well. If it does arrive, we expect it to be powered by a 2.0L engine and an electric motor. This combination can generate up to 170 horsepower.
In terms of fuel economy, the Civic lineup has quite decent fuel economy. However, if it wants to remain competitive for 2020, Honda must make the 2020 Civic’s fuel economy closer to 50 mpg. So yes, you can expect the 2020 Civic to have better fuel economy than its predecessor.
Safety
The Honda Civic lineup has a lot of safety features. Features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, a lane-keeping system, as well as a mitigation system are available albeit not all trim levels have it as standard features. Unfortunately, there is no blind-spot monitoring feature available. Instead, the Civic lineup has Honda Lane Watch, which shows the blind-spot on the center screen to the driver. We expect the 2020 Honda Civic to come with these features.
The 2018 Civic had quite excellent safety test results. In front-crash-prevention, it scored “Superior” and in major crash tests, it scored “Good.” The 2018 Civic, however, failed in the headlight test as it only scored “Poor” in that department. The 2020 Civic is likely to get more or less the same safety test results although it should get even better results.
2020 Honda Civic Release Date and Price
Officially, there is no information yet regarding the release date of the 2020 Honda Civic. That being said, we can expect it to enter the market either in late-2019 or early 2020. It is, after all, meant to be a 2020 model.
Honda has yet to release the price of the 2020 Civic. Unlike the release date, we can get a clearer insight for the price. Usually, the price of a new model is in the same range as its predecessor. This should apply to the upcoming Civic. The price range of the previous Civic is in the $20,000 to $35,000 range. The price of the 2020 Civic should be in this range, albeit you should expect a slight increase.
Is Upcoming Honda Civic pique your interest? If so, be patient just for a bit. We are going to see it in the near future. Until now, the Civic lineup has given us comfort and reliability. The 2020 Civic should not be different in providing both than its predecessors. Hopefully, it provides more comfort and reliability. What do you think?
