2021 Subaru Ascent Review, Specs, Price & Release Date

Subaru has officially released the 2021 Subaru Ascent. This is the biggest SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) Subaru make. Even so, Subaru offers Ascent as the best vehicle for families who love adventure. Subaru Ascent 2021 is a “true story” of the Ascent Concept. Japanese manufacturer introduced in early 2017. Using the Subaru Global Platform, this car built at the factory of Lafayette, Indiana, United States (US).

Between the Subaru Ascent version of the concept and ready to sell itself, it looks like the shape will be pretty similar, which is a good thing. Usually, Subaru can make wild concepts, but the selling version is shining. The Subaru Ascent concept itself is based on the Subaru Viziv-7, and both have wide and muscular fenders plus a large, firm grille in the front.

2021 Subaru Ascent Redesign

It is 4,999 mm long, 1,930 mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2,890 mm. Its giant dimensions make the Ascent cabin space very comfortable to fill up to eight passengers inside. Although Subaru also provides Ascent with 7-seater type with second-row seat configuration using the seat cap model.

Regarding its power, all of Subaru Ascent variants use a 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer engine with 260 hp at 5,600 rpm and 375 Nm of torque ranging from 2,000 to 4,800 rpm. This engine is combined with a Lineartronic CVT gearbox complete with a paddle shift.

The Ascent large body is driven by a Lineartronic CVT transmission. That operates eight-speed manually via a paddle-shift behind the steering wheel. This transmission combines with X-Mode with Hill Descent Control.
