2020 Lexus ES 350 Redesign Exterior & Interior
Alright, let’s start with how it looks first. When you first see the 2020 ES 350, you will notice that it looks very different from the previous generations. Apparently, Lexus started anew by throwing everything that was bad away. If anything, the new ES 350 looks more like LS than ES.
The 2020 Lexus ES 350 looks so good with spindle grille at the front. It has smooth, stylish lines and curves. It just looks and feels luxurious. The front headlights look unique. Instead of the usual rectangular-shaped lightings, it has a trapezoid shape with jagged edges. The rear headlights have a similar shape but a bit smoother. On the sides, there are smooth and defined lines moving across the front to the rear of the sedan. It is a handsome luxury sedan.
That’s the outside. What about the inside? Similar to the exterior, the interior is very different from the previous generations’. In the previous generations, there were mismatched surfaces and cheap wood in the interior. Those are long gone now. The new ES 350 comes with new and stylish materials. It has excellent ergonomics, a convenient slot, and enough room for every passenger. And yes, the new ES 350 certainly does have a luxury vibe in it.

In terms of space, we say it is very good. It has enough room for every passenger (both front and rear) with ample headroom and legroom. It also has storage of 16.7 cubic feet, which is larger than many of its pricier competitors.
Performance & Fuel Economy
The 2020 Lexus ES 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter, V6 engine mated with an 8-speed auto transmission gearbox. The engine drives in a front-wheel-drive system. This engine is capable of generating up to 302 horsepower with 267 lb-ft of torque. Is it powerful? Well, yes. Its 0 to 60 mph time is 6.6 seconds, which is faster than the previous model.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the sedan is rated to be 22 mpg for city, 26 mpg for city, and 33 mpg for combined. Not fuel-efficient enough for you? There is a hybrid engine system for the ES 300h. It has a bit weaker engine, a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine with an output of 215 horsepower. The mpg rate, however, is 43 mpg for city and 45 mpg for highway.
Is it a reliable vehicle? Yes. Lexus is a manufacturer known for its reliability. It has been proven again and again, with consistent high ranks in terms of reliability in most surveys. The 2020 ES 350 shouldn’t be an exception to that, of course.
There are many features available for the 2020 ES 350, especially for the higher trim levels. For example, wood trim, power driver’s seat, heated and ventilated seats, ambient lighting, automatic wipers, a power steering wheel with tilt-telescoping features, later performance dampers, and rear shades.
As for optional features, there are wireless charger (cost $75), heated windshield and steering wheel (cost $480), LED headlights with triple beam (cost $1,115), a Mark Levinson audio system with 17 speakers and navigation (cost $480), a 360-degree camera, park assist and blind-spot monitoring (cost $1,900), glass roof (cost $500) and 18-inch wheels (cost $950).
