2020 Citroen C5 Aircross Design
In terms of design, the upcoming C5 Aircross isn’t likely to get major changes. Usually, a lineup will be redesigned every few years or so. For the C5 Aircross, it seems the time hasn’t come yet for it to get a redesign.
Since a redesign is unlikely, most parts of the new C5 Aircross will be similar to the current C5 Aircross. Is it a bad thing? Not necessarily. Lack of changes is not a bad thing per se. The C5 Aircross is a quite good-looking SUV. The current version looks sleek, stylish, and modern outside and inside. We expect the upcoming C5 Aircross to be mostly the same, perhaps with some minor updates and upgrades here and there.
Color options offered may be different, depending on the region. For example, in Europe, there are 30 color combinations available while in Australia, there are only 7 color combinations. Whether or not Citroen will expand the color combinations is not yet known.

The 2020 Citroen C5 Aircross uses the same engine as its twin, the Peugeot 3008. It comes equipped with a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. The engine is paired with a six-speed auto transmission gearbox.
In terms of performance, the 1.6-liter turbo engine has an output of 162 horsepower with 177 lb-ft of torque. The engine boasts fuel consumption of 7.9 liters per 100 km on average. The engine needs 95 premium unleaded fuel.
There is also a report that suggests the new C5 Aircross will get a plug-in hybrid available as well. The hybrid model is likely to be powered by the same engine but mated with an 80kW battery, producing 228 horsepower with 248 lb-ft of torque. Unlike the petrol engine, the hybrid engine is paired with an eight-speed auto transmission gearbox.
The 2020 C5 Aircross is the first SUV in the lineup that is going to be electrified. The addition of the hybrid model is Citroen’s step towards its ambitious, environment-friendly plan. The manufacturer aims to get 80% of its vehicles to be electrified by 2023 and 100% by 2025. Ambitious? Yes, but it is also a noble goal.

The new C5 Aircross will come with standard features such as an 8.0-inch touchscreen display with an infotainment system, built-in navigation, smartphone connectivity (both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), digital radio and a 12.3-inc instrument display, a sensor key, rain-sensing wipers, dusk-sensing headlights, and air conditioning (dual-zone).
The back row seating is divided into three individual seats. Each one of the seat can be moved forward 15 cm and tilted by 19 to 26 degrees.
As for the safety features, the upcoming SUV is equipped with autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a rear-view camera, tire pressure monitors, lane-keeping assistance, speed sign recognition, and parking sensors (both front and rear).
